Kauai, part 3...

Monday was the big wedding day!  Early that morning a few of us practiced yoga with an instructor who came to the house.
That would be easy to
get used to, no?
I think the two people who felt most nervous that day were Chris and Keith, in charge of driving across the island to pick up this three-tiered wedding cake.  Chris had to balance it on his lap, without any box, for the hour and a half ride back to the house… with Keith driving.  Quite a feat!
It's a miracle it arrived
looking so pretty!
The happy couple seemed relaxed and excited…

Steady hands!  No nerves!  :)
Soon after lunch, the house started to transform into a party…
The table was set...
Lovely Hawaiian setting
The chef started cooking...
The chairs were placed...
The groom and sons got dressed
and shared a quiet moment together before the ceremony...
Henry and Mommy got ready too...
Keith, Pat, and Mark (Pat's brother-in-law)

The "real" photographers asked us not to take pictures during the ceremony so you'll have to imagine how nice that was...
After the ceremony…
the happy newlyweds!
Camille looks gorgeous, doesn't she?

I love that smile!

Toasts to the new family!
The professional photographers took this photograph of Camille and Pat, on the edge of the property, with the Milky Way behind them.  Breathtaking!
It was a week we will all remember for a lifetime.  Thank you sincerely to Camille and Pat and Marta and Keith for bringing us along.  It was perfect.

Kauai, part 2...

On Sunday, while in Kauai, James turned double-digits for the first time.  The big 10!
The local baker made a
delicious double-chocolate cake to celebrate!
James was so excited to open his
"Beats by Dre" headphones!
The boys played lots of catch around the pool...
One afternoon we took the four boys to Annini Beach.  It was one of the coolest beaches I've ever been to.  Crystal clear water and shallow for (seemingly) ever...

A fellow beach-goer spotted a big tortoise and
pointed us in the right direction to find him too.
Unfortunately we didn't see it.
I wonder why…?!  ;)
Although the area got lots of rain the week before we were in town, we lucked out with sunny, warm days...

Next up… wedding day pictures!

About Me

My photo
I am a stay-at-home mom to 3 energetic, funny, sweet, and crazy boys. I married my best friend, Chris, and love our life together. The Army is sending him overseas soon so I thought this blog would be a great way for him (and the grandparents!) to keep up with our hectic life. Unfortunately the Army keeps us too far from family and most of our friends so hopefully this will help us stay connected.
