I have to wake the boys up for school. Which always feels like cruel and unusual punishment (to me) that I should have to wake a sleeping child… for anything. But today is the first day back to school in what feels like a month! I think it's been actually closer to 2 1/2 weeks. I'm kinda sad to see them go back… the lazy, slow days of Christmas break have been so good.
I wish I could say that we were 100% ready for today but, with the 67 degree weather yesterday?!?, we played outside from the moment we got home from church until the moment we ate dinner. The boys do have clean clothes already laid out (bonus!) and lunch boxes just need final touches.
But the real deal will be whether or not the children wake up happy and ready or grumpy and tired. Hmmm…
At least we're one day down with Chris gone….
And we don't have any sports practices tonight….
But I made a (crazy-talk) resolution not to drink while Chris was away this month…. (must repeat New Years goal of patience and kindness!)
It's probably a good thing I made that massage appointment for this morning.
Hee hee hee…
Happy Monday, teachers!

About Me
- Beth
- I am a stay-at-home mom to 3 energetic, funny, sweet, and crazy boys. I married my best friend, Chris, and love our life together. The Army is sending him overseas soon so I thought this blog would be a great way for him (and the grandparents!) to keep up with our hectic life. Unfortunately the Army keeps us too far from family and most of our friends so hopefully this will help us stay connected.
Misery loves company! I also quit drinking for the month of January. I figured since I drank at least one drink EVERY day between Thanksgiving and Christmas my liver needed a little of a break. I also hoodwinked Pearson into joining me. Keep it up! And let me know if you need anything when Chris is gone.
