My baby turns 9!!!

James's 9th birthday was yesterday.  When I asked James how he wanted to celebrate, he said he wanted to have a "junk-food slumber party" with his best friends.  Since Chris is still away, I figured that was probably the easiest route.  (Silly Beth.)  But, mama delivered on the junk food (pizza, chips, Gatorade, cookie "cake"-- blah!) and the sleep over.

The evening was nice and quiet…

 NOT!!!

You might remember that I'm not drinking alcohol at all this month (Silly Beth).  Thank God this arrived from Amazon that afternoon…
It didn't work.
The boys watched "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and laughed hysterically.  They finally went to bed around 11pm and woke up around 7am.

After a breakfast of pancakes and more giggling, all of the boys got ready for their respective basketball games.

The time for James's basketball game and Henry's basketball camp overlapped so James went with his friend, Waylon, and I took the little boys…
People always tell me how tall Henry is
for his age… I guess they're right!
Although there were about 100 children there (they'll split it in half for next week), it was super well organized (shocking but true).  Each child stood by their own cone and participated in a bunch of dances, ball exercises, games, etc.  Henry seemed thrilled.

My sweet coloring partner.  Pete will color until the entire page is complete (and he stays in the lines better than the big boys!)…
Although Henry's weekly camp is 90 minutes long, we had to leave a little early to make it to James's game...

 More coloring and watching...
James's game went into overtime (totaling almost an hour and a half!!!) and Peter was done.  Really, no one could blame him.  Here he is walking the line in protest...

After basketball, we came back to the house and celebrated with just our family.  We sure missed Chris though!

The Three Amigos!
happy boy
Skylanders from Gigi
Stomp Rocket from Aunt M and Uncle T
Grandpa and Ita sent a Game Stop gift card
which he immediately put to good use!
Happy birthday, babe!  You are smart, kind, sensitive, funny, independent, and all-boy!  There is no greater love than what we have for you...
Hope all your wishes come true...

About Me

My photo
I am a stay-at-home mom to 3 energetic, funny, sweet, and crazy boys. I married my best friend, Chris, and love our life together. The Army is sending him overseas soon so I thought this blog would be a great way for him (and the grandparents!) to keep up with our hectic life. Unfortunately the Army keeps us too far from family and most of our friends so hopefully this will help us stay connected.
