Henry had his first soccer game last weekend! He was excited getting ready for it buttttt he lost interest mid-game.
This is when Henry started doing "The Wave" with his hand...
… and then he broke into "the Running Man"...
…followed by Duck faces...
…a bit of exasperation...
…although he mustered up enough energy to go back to The Wave...
But, if we're being totally fair, let's take a look at his teammate for a second...
… he ain't right either...
Oh! Now he's onto the Funky Chicken...
Go, Henry!! BREAK IT DOWN!!
…and it appears as though his friend is getting in the action with "the sprinkler"...
Good times. Money well spent. This will come as a surprise to no one, but James was completely apoplectic watching these shenanigans.
Ohhhh-kay. So after that fun hour, on Saturday afternoon we went to James's (belated) end-of-season awards ceremony for basketball at Coach Sam's house. The team picked up right where they left off and played a great game!
They had two basketball hoops set up in their driveway, like a real basketball court, which was really cool!
That's Coach Sam (standing, in the red shirt) giving out trophies. He and his wife ordered TEN pizzas for the boys, a huge sheet cake with the team logo on it, and handed out really nice trophies (with their name etched in) to every player.
I offered them money no less than ten times to help pay for it all, but they wouldn't accept a penny. What nice folks, especially considering the countless hours they'd already volunteered all season (which was LONG as you may remember)! We are looking forward to being a part of the same team, Fire, next fall.
In "Peter news," I took him to see a live Sesame Street show today! The USO put on a free show for military kids. He was super excited to see Elmo...
I couldn't find any of our old Elmo shirts :( but Cort gave us this Muppet one of theirs so we could be in the spirit of the show!
Okay, last but not least… Charlie. He is totally spoiled and completely living the good life with Chris away. He sleeps where he wants...
and waits all day for the boys to get off the school bus!
He really is such a good puppy. And if it's up to me, we'll have another one around here before Daddy gets home (and can say no!)...
And in one picture, this about sums me up…
ha ha! I'd pay good money for that t-shirt!
Each of those boys is so awesome. xoxo
