The latest...

It's hard to believe we're half way through July already!  We are moving through summer at lightening speed it feels like and having a great time along the way.  Last week our good friends, the Campions, came into town for a few days!  Unfortunately Connor, James's oldest friend, was sick most of the visit but the kids still managed to have fun!

It's a little hard to tell but it rained
while we were in the pool!  Since there was no
thunder or lightening, we were allowed to stay.

It was so nice being together and we're looking forward to seeing them in VA in a few weeks!
Clark and Peter were born just 2 months apart
and Connor and James were born 11 days apart!
On Saturday we got up early and took the boys blueberry picking.  Carter Farms is about 15 minutes away and was a lot of fun.

In total we picked just under 8 pounds of blueberries for a grand total of $8.00 (including three suckers for the boys)!!  I can't imagine how much that would have cost to buy at Harris Teeter!?
The boys and I made a cobbler and muffins yesterday.  Delicious!  And we've eaten at least 1-2 pounds straight from the bag...
On Saturday afternoon we were invited over to the new BDE S3's house.  Steve and Rocky are super fun and laid back.  I'm really looking forward to spending more time with them.  Their three sons are almost the exact same ages as our three boys-- which is so nice for get-togethers!
(The little blondes in the corner are other friends' kids)
The boys loved all their cool toys, especially this golf cart Rocky and the boys use to drive around the neighborhood and to the grocery store.  So fun!
We took a spin around the neighborhood with all the kids.  Apparently most of their neighbors also have golf carts they use to zip around.  "Golf cart" immediately made it's way to the top of James's Christmas list when we got home.  I'm… not kidding.  It now preceeds "hamster."
Steve suggested we all watch "Nitro Circus" which we'd never heard of before.  Let's just say it's like the show "Jackass" but with more athletic-style stunts (and if you haven't heard of "Jackass," spare yourself and let me give you a brief synopsis-- a bunch of CRAZY dudes doing a bunch of CRAZY things).  The boys LOVED it.  Me?  Not so much.  Because I already have a 3-year old Nitro at home and I don't need him getting any more stunt ideas!

Sunday turned out to be a perfect chill day… which ended up including lots of water.
We turned all the yard sprinklers on
which the boys love running through!
And these two clowns.  Let me tell you, you can't even flip chicken on the grill without something like this happening...
 Thank God they're so cute.

My favorite… two little nugget heads popping out of a SEA of bubbles...
So those were the last few days around here… crazy and hectic and fun.  Looking forward to see what this week has to offer!

About Me

My photo
I am a stay-at-home mom to 3 energetic, funny, sweet, and crazy boys. I married my best friend, Chris, and love our life together. The Army is sending him overseas soon so I thought this blog would be a great way for him (and the grandparents!) to keep up with our hectic life. Unfortunately the Army keeps us too far from family and most of our friends so hopefully this will help us stay connected.
