Awards Ceremony...

The first grade awards ceremony was yesterday. James received three awards--one for being a Character Ambassador for the month of February, one for exceeding his reading goals, and one for receiving an astonishing 250 Panda Tickets (sort of a "caught you being good" reward system the school uses), in just the last 9-week marking period!  Here is a picture of James receiving his awards, shaking the principal's hand...

Way to go, James!!

PS.  My mom and James just got in from the drug store a little while ago.  Apparently the store manager found James helping and rewarded him with a free bag of gummy bears.  Watch out... he's on a roll!  :)

The Army is sending him overseas soon so I thought this blog would be a great way for him (and the grandparents!) to keep up with our hectic life.
