Chris and I were able to go out for dinner last weekend which was nice. An old friend of ours bought a local restaurant a few years ago (Huske Hardware) and I ran into his daughter, Summer, when I stopped by to make dinner reservations. We haven't seen them since we lived at Ft. Benning, at least 8 years ago. Summer is now 17, beautiful, and definitely no longer the little girl I remember. Hard to believe so much time has passed...
We took the boys to buy new bicycles this week but Henry decided he didn't want one once we got to the store. Silly boy. Here is a picture of James on his new wheels. He and his buddies zip around on their bikes all afternoon! Fun!
We've also been doing a lot of this-- relaxing, drinking, and talking!
Probably the best news of the week was finding out that our good friends, the Palazinnis, will be moving across the street from us in June!! I hate to jinx it, but the contract is signed and things look good! We can't wait to have Cortney, Jeff, Nico and Gabby so close again. I walked through it for them and took pictures-- it's beautiful inside!
We leave tomorrow after school for Maryland and Chris will fly out on Thursday night. We're enjoying our last few days together again. Goodbyes are so hard... but grateful the Army sent him home to us during this time.
