Patio Before and After...

Here are two "before" pictures of the back porch.  It was a complete eye sore-- full of cobwebs, two old rugs, and home to about 100 Army men and a random assortment of Nerf guns.

While we aren't completely finished, here are a few "progress" pictures of the porch now.  We are still on the hunt for plant stands and little lights to add around the perimeter.

We found this cute little table at a yard sale for $40 last weekend.
A new coat of white paint and it looks almost new again.

We went to a local florist and I let the boys pick
out flowers they thought were pretty...

I'll have to find an 82nd flower pot.  I received this one
while we were at Ft. Stewart from the Battalion Commander's wife...

The patio leads to the deck and the new umbrella...
The best part about it is that we actually want to go out there now.  I love sitting out back with my morning coffee... Craig, Megan and I sat out back and had a glass of wine the other night... and the boys and their friends love playing games on the new table.  It's a fun new space to be... come over and join us!

  4. That's a huge space you have there, and you shouldn't leave it unused and cluttered like that. That's a great area to relax and chat with your visitors. It's good that you did not let it stay that way forever. It looks so much better now. It's a lot more functional!

About Me

My photo
I am a stay-at-home mom to 3 energetic, funny, sweet, and crazy boys. I married my best friend, Chris, and love our life together. The Army is sending him overseas soon so I thought this blog would be a great way for him (and the grandparents!) to keep up with our hectic life. Unfortunately the Army keeps us too far from family and most of our friends so hopefully this will help us stay connected.
