Be still my heart...

At drop off today I noticed the children completed new artwork for Thanksgiving.  I looked around to find Henry's...

It reads.... "I am thankful for my Mom."

I have to be honest... I wasn't very surprised at his answer.  Ha ha.  Look, that kid likes me.  A whole lot.  James?  Well, he'd tell you that he loves me (I am his mother after all) but he could take me or leave me.  Henry?  He's my shadow.  From the moment he was born, I could tell.  This one's gonna like me, I thought.

Then I glanced around looking for Gabby's turkey picture and it just about melted my heart...

It reads.... "I am thankful for my best friend Henry."

Kids can be SO DAMN CUTE.
