Weekend at Jordan Lake!

Disclaimer:  By "weekend," I mean 12 hours for me and an entire weekend for Chris.

One of Chris's good friends at work, Ray, invited us to spend the weekend camping and fishing at Jordan Lake with him and his son, Cameron.  The camp site was actually very nice and right on the water (I say "actually" because I never entirely trust Chris's assessment of things, especially when he promises a "nice" campground.)

Henry and Peter immediately jumped in the lake while we waited for everyone to arrive.

Daddy set up most of our stuff while the boys and I "helped."

Pete found the food table!

Henry hooking worms.
Cameron is 11 and such a good kid!
Once Ray and his son arrived, we all went out on his new boat.  We all loved it!

Chris and I attempted to stand up and wake board off the back... totally fun and completely hard.  I could have spent hours trying to get it right.  Ray and his son, Cameron, are pros!  They were a lot of fun to watch.  After we all played around wake boarding, Ray set up the innertube for the Henry and Cameron.

Immediately after Henry returned onto the boat he said,
"That was AWESOME!"

While we cooked dinner, the boys fished and played on the docked boat...

The boys fell asleep relatively early and didn't wake up until almost 8am.  I suppose that's what all that fresh air and exercise will do!
Pete had about 1/2 of one chocolate
donut in the morning and looked like this.

"Mom, do I have a little right here?"
"Nope!  You're good."
About an hour later, after I walked head-first into an enormous spider web and watched that creepy crawly thing scatter up my arm, but not before this...

... Petey and Mommy were done.  All natured-out.

I may have to re-think my original agreement to hike the entire Appalachian Trail with Chris one day.

I am a stay-at-home mom to 3 energetic, funny, sweet, and crazy boys. I married my best friend, Chris, and love our life together. The Army is sending him overseas soon so I thought this blog would be a great way for him (and the grandparents!) to keep up with our hectic life. Unfortunately the Army keeps us too far from family and most of our friends so hopefully this will help us stay connected.
